Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about getting physician-prescribed GLP-1 and peptide therapy through Mino MD.

Getting started

How do I get started with Mino MD?

Create an account and complete a short health intake about your history, goals, and lifestyle. A licensed physician reviews your information, and if appropriate, prescribes a treatment plan — typically within 24 hours.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. GLP-1 medications and peptides are prescription-only. A licensed Mino MD physician must evaluate and approve your treatment before anything is dispensed.

Is there an in-person visit required?

No. Mino MD is a telehealth platform. Your evaluation, physician review, and ongoing check-ins all happen online, and medication ships directly to you.

Treatments & safety

What treatments does Mino MD offer?

We offer GLP-1 weight loss medications including semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide, as well as peptide therapies such as BPC-157, CJC-1295/Ipamorelin, and sermorelin. Each is prescribed only after physician review.

How does Mino MD keep prescribing safe?

Every patient goes through a guided History & Physical decision tree and an AI-assisted contraindication review. Physicians cannot finalize an order until eligibility is confirmed, and high-risk cases require explicit clinical acknowledgment.

What are the most common side effects?

For GLP-1 medications, mild nausea, constipation, or fatigue are common during dose increases and usually ease over time. Peptide side effects are typically limited to injection-site reactions. Your physician reviews your individual risks.

Which medication is right for me?

That depends on your health profile, goals, and tolerance. Your physician recommends the most appropriate option during review — you do not need to decide on your own.

Pricing & shipping

How is medication shipped?

Approved prescriptions are filled by a licensed U.S. pharmacy and shipped directly to your door with appropriate handling. You can track status from your patient dashboard.

Does insurance cover treatment?

Compounded medications are typically self-pay. Mino MD focuses on transparent, accessible pricing. You can review costs before confirming any treatment.

Privacy & support

Is my health information private?

Yes. Mino MD is a HIPAA-compliant platform. Your data is encrypted and access is restricted to your care team. See our Notice of Privacy Practices for details.
